WE DEVELOP UTILITY-SCALE SOLAR THERMAL ELECTRICITY POWER PLANTS

LUZ II plants generate electrical power by using solar energy to convert water to superheated steam. Solar fields reflect sunlight onto a receiver located on the top of a Power Tower. Each Power Tower module is linked by pipelines to a central location where superheated steam and electricity are produced.
The first installation is being built in Israel as a pilot plant. The plant will commence operations in 2008. A series of 100 MW and 200 MW commercial solar power plants are scheduled to come on line in 2010.

LUZ II's new design has many advantages over other solar power technologies in cost effectiveness, thermal efficiency, design efficiency, improved electrical transmission capabilities and environmental quality.
